MIPS<\/a> is a safety technology designed to reduce the rotational forces on the brain that can occur during an angled impact, the type of crash that is far more common than a straight-on hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside a MIPS<\/a>-equipped helmet, there is a thin, low-friction layer placed between the shell and the padding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
