The Squish 18 Kids Bike is designed to bridge the gap between smaller children's bicycles and larger junior bikes, giving growing riders the confidence to take their cycling skills further. Built around a lightweight 6061 triple-butted T6 aluminium frame, it offers a durable yet manageable riding experience with geometry specifically suited to younger cyclists. Its 18-inch wheels and 9.5-inch frame provide a comfortable intermediate size for children who have outgrown a 16-inch bike but are not quite ready for 20-inch wheels. Ideal for family rides, parks and cycle paths, the Squish 18 makes progressing to bigger adventures enjoyable and accessible.
Keeping cycling simple and intuitive, the Squish 18 features a single-speed drivetrain that allows young riders to concentrate on pedalling, steering and controlling their bike without the distraction of changing gears. Its 30T chainring and 16T freewheel provide straightforward gearing for everyday riding, while the 140mm aluminium cranks are designed to suit junior riders. Tektro alloy mini V-brakes deliver dependable stopping power, with junior-specific adjustable-reach brake levers helping smaller hands operate the brakes comfortably. The lightweight aluminium fork and 460mm riser handlebars further contribute to responsive steering and confident handling.
Thoughtful details make the Squish 18 a practical and enjoyable companion for developing cyclists. Velo Mushroom grips provide a comfortable hold, while lightweight 18x1.5-inch Cadence tyres offer efficient rolling performance on roads, cycle paths and suitable park surfaces. Aluminium rims with CNC-machined braking surfaces support reliable braking, and the Squish junior saddle with an adjustable seatpost helps achieve a comfortable riding position. Supplied junior platform pedals provide a secure footing, while the included Squish sticker set allows children to personalise their bike.
